Ankara Star Collection by Constance Guisset

Star Collection was created for the ground floor of the French Institute of Turkey in Ankara: a beautiful set of lobby furniture designed by Constance Guisset and realized by Turkish craftsmen. The round shapes of tables, stools and stands make the circulation space more comfortable - even the black bars have rounded corners. The elements are meant to be set like changing constellations, allowing different space arrangements. The effect is fun and unpretentious! Ankara Star Collection includes: a stool, a bat stool, a coffee table, a large table, two bars, a welcoming desk, two shelves and five exhibition stands for the library.

And of course: it is hard not to notice splendid Vertigo lamps - also created by talented Constance Guisset. Vertigo is very light and easily loses balance. It seems to be a dreamy object that floats gently in the air. Beautiful graphic shadows create an inviting, intimate space.

Confession by Arik Levy

'Confessions' is a limited edition of seating furniture created by Arik Levy - a designer, artist, technician, photographer and filmmaker. Confessions Installations was presented at Gallerie Slott in Paris, as a part of 'Preliminaires' exhibition.

At first sight we recognize the inspiration - a church confessional, overscaled to the form of unconventional "armchair". The message behind 'Confessions'  is the vital importance of communication: the designer points out that the failure in this area leads to serious relationship problems and it's a cause of numerous divorces. By 'Confessions' we are invited to open up, speak openly even about our "taboos" and "bare our souls".

Bathboat by Wieki Somers

"The Bathboat turns out to be a vehicle on dry land where the mind can drift away, or drift home after a full day of shiploads of information. It will wash away the dust of the city."

Bathboat by Dutch designer Wieki Somers is a part of the collection of the museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam. It was also exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum's Telling Tales exhibition.
