GamFratesi

GamFratesi, a Copenhagen-based design studio was founded in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. The duo almost immediately won numerous awards, only last year it was announced Best Danish Designer twice: by "Berlingske Tidende" and "RUM" magazine.

GamFratesi plays with Scandinavian design tradition and gives familiar furniture pieces new, surprising forms. Their imaginative works draw attention and... make us smile.

‘Blah, Blah, Blah’ by Louise Campbell

‘Blah, Blah, Blah’ meeting room interior concept, like all the designs by Louise Campbell, is characterized by poetic, subtle, feminine attention to detail and seems to play with graphic outlines. The meeting room was created for Gl. Strand, Danish fine-art exhibition hall in the heart of Copenhagen in 2008.

"Focus is on the enormous amount of words used during meetings, of which only a fraction are truly useful."

Louise Campbell established her own studio in 1996, and works mainly with furniture and lightning design for companies such as Louis Poulsen, Zanotta, HAY, Royal Copenhagen, Holmegaard, Stelton, Muuto and Interstop.

At Copenhagen studio three guidelines rule:
always start from scratch - find the core of the issue - dare to be different.

Mormor kitchen ceramics by Gry Fager

Gry Fager´s Mormor porcelain series was spotted by Normann Copenhagen at the stage of a student final project at the Danish Design School in 2008. The design is unique indeed, fresh and modern, jet inspired by tradition. Gry Fager used familiar embroidery pattern as a main design feature and achieved both warm and humorous effect.

"With Mormor, the kitchen is the place where everything starts, the central nervous system of the house where people all gather. I have been inspired by the atmosphere and the character of the kitchen, particularly older kitchens from my grandmother's time and I have transferred the kitchen clichés into a modern context."
