Glimpt: design and craftmanship

Fun designs from Swedish design duo Glimpt - Mattias Rask and Tor Palm. Meaningful project, created in co-operation with craftsmen and inspired by their traditional techniques: Superheroes seagrass stools were hand-woven in Vietnam and Forbiden Fruit lamps with hand-decorated ceramic shades were made by The Potters Workshop from South Africa. New prototypes are still coming!

Big-game

Big-game was established in 2004 by Grégoire Jeanmonod (Swiss), Elric Petit (Belgian) and Augustin Scott de Martinville (French). The team has developed a clear, well-defined design style: minimalist, geometric shapes and innovative concepts that suprise with their refined simplicity.

'Signs' coat stand, produced by Japanese Karimoku, won Wallpaper* Design Award 2010 (last photo). The stand movable arms pivot out from the frame when a coat it placed and, thanks to hidden magnets, snap back when not in use. 'Signs' comes in two finish versions: natural or gray stained wood.

Ankara Star Collection by Constance Guisset

Star Collection was created for the ground floor of the French Institute of Turkey in Ankara: a beautiful set of lobby furniture designed by Constance Guisset and realized by Turkish craftsmen. The round shapes of tables, stools and stands make the circulation space more comfortable - even the black bars have rounded corners. The elements are meant to be set like changing constellations, allowing different space arrangements. The effect is fun and unpretentious! Ankara Star Collection includes: a stool, a bat stool, a coffee table, a large table, two bars, a welcoming desk, two shelves and five exhibition stands for the library.

And of course: it is hard not to notice splendid Vertigo lamps - also created by talented Constance Guisset. Vertigo is very light and easily loses balance. It seems to be a dreamy object that floats gently in the air. Beautiful graphic shadows create an inviting, intimate space.
