Pohutukawa beach house by Herbst Architects

Utterly perfect beach house in New Zealand - I simply couldn't take my eyes of the photos. Light, simple and elegant construction, interiors opened to the nature around, wooden details, mid-century furniture... and Finnish Secto lamps! (I must get at least one of them!)

Raw surfaces spiced up by a mixture of flea market treasures and design classics. Great space flooded with light... a dream loft in Paris.

Washington Park Residence in Seatlle

Superb design by Sullivan Conard Architects. I can learn a lot! Well thought out interiors composed with clean, elegant forms. Great use of materials - surfaces come alive with smooth or raw textures. And I can not stop to admire those detailed renderings!

Styling inspiration: blue interiors

Vibrant ultramarine or warm cobalt? Tasty blueberry? Clear aquamarine maybe? Topaz? Sapphire? Steel or teal? Persian or parisian? ...or indian indigo? Noble royal blue shade? Simple denim? Phthalo? Cyjan? Aquamarine... decide!

I'm having fun with 'blue-analysis' on my tumblr here: design traveller. Have you discovered this blogging platform yet? If you are tumbling as well, let me know :)

Philippines: C House by Archipelago architects

Batangas, Philippines. This beautifully located house seems to breath in the fresh sea air. Spacious, open interiors were nicely softened by delicate beiges and natural textures. Simple idea (but not so easy to come up with) that works so well here! Don't you like the warm effect?
