Vintage wire cage lamps

Vintage industrial lightning - a sparkle of inspiration came from Anders Gramer's photography portfolio. It seems that wire pendants are more and more popular. I guess vintage lightbulbs are difficult to find, so I mighy try low energy lightbulb from Plumen.

Cadaquès Apartment by Francesc Rifé

Minimal rustic from Catalonia. In elegant black and white. And the fireplace... architectural version of a countryside stove hood. Great inspiration. Tradition meets ultramodern.

Designed by Francesc Rifé studio based in Barcelona.

Charles and Ray Eames

'The real questions are: Does it solve a problem? Is it serviceable? How is it going to look in ten years?'
Charles Eames

'What works good is better than what looks good, because what works good lasts.'

A little bit of mid-century modern: visiting Jonas Ingerstedt’s home

Stil hunting for Scandinavian furniture treasure. Jonas Ingerstedt, a talented Swedish photographer obviously has an excellent eye for mid-century modern pieces - he selected some beautiful classics for his masculine-style, elegant home.

First: timeless "Berlin" daybed by Bruno Mathsso, a great Swedish architect and designer. Next: raw "PK-1" chair by Poul Kjaerholm, a Danish designer known for his minimalist approach. Not to mention Hans J. Wegner's "CH 24" chairs ("The Wishbone") - a design that stays fresh for over 60 years now!

Pohutukawa beach house by Herbst Architects

Utterly perfect beach house in New Zealand - I simply couldn't take my eyes of the photos. Light, simple and elegant construction, interiors opened to the nature around, wooden details, mid-century furniture... and Finnish Secto lamps! (I must get at least one of them!)
