Mid-Century modern in Paris

Montmartre. Yes: Montmartre! Stylish apartment of Caroline Wiart, an interior decorator and her husband Patrice Galiana, a collector. The couple share a passion for Mid-Century modern design and art - literally each piece of furniture in their home is a part of design history.

String shelves: copper

Classic scandinavian design revamped. Except copper, which is my favourite, two other new colours of the "Pocket" line are available now: raw and ash-white. Perfect for vintage-style kitchens!

Shelf system String was created by Swedish architect Nils "Nisse" Strinning and his wife, designer Kajsa Strinning for a contest initiated by Bonnier public library in 1949. Their project won - it was modular, functional, affordable, easy to transport and assemble. Since then String shelves have become a contemporary classic - timless scandinavian design.

Authentic Swedish cottage

The main idea behind the renovation of this cosy cottage could be defined as an encounter between the old and the new - a blend of modern design, folk and oriental influences. The effect of authenticity has been achieved by using only pure materials such as wood, concrete, plaster and stone.

Stitches kitchenware by Gry Fager

I am always amazed how intriguing concepts emerge at the border between contras. Just like the one I discovered recently: absolutely modern design inspired by tradition - beautiful line of ceramics named “Stitches” - by Danish designer Gry Fager.

My perfect nursery

Cosy, modern nursery styled by the creative team from Sissy+Marley, a New York City-based boutique baby planner and concierge service. The room is full of light, all the tones muted, subtle and natural. The space well thought out, organized with tasteful and practical details. Unquestionably: scandinavian style inspiration. I love the animal theme with cute giraffes!

... and take a look at the brilliant, convertible 'Sleepi' bed from Norwegian brand Stokke. Designed to grow with a child, it can be used from birth to approximately 10 years. Clever design!
