Masculine interior design? My first thought was: only testosterone. An old, boring 80’s apartment in São Paulo redesigned and renovated by Studio Guilherme Torres feels now like a trendsetter night club: a modern garçonnière of a successful, single bachelor.
Linear led lighting running through concrete-finish walls and ceiling, create an interesting stage-like effect. Custom-made wooden furniture mixed with famous statement designs, a few vintage pieces and colorful adult toys... effortless ‘high-low’ style. And a black bathtub residing in the main bedroom... true bohemian spirit.

Love the wonderful, colorful art in contrast with the concrete and industrial feel of this place. Can't help but smile at the pig painting:)
ReplyDeletebachelor...maybe i'd totally live there in a second!
ReplyDeleteAhh, great...I espeially loved the yellow table, the brown chairs combined with the yellow photography on the wall...eyecandy...!
ReplyDeleteIngrid :)
cool design. And I love concrete. But I miss the feeling of light and airy rooms. Feels a bit like an air-raid-shelter - know what I mean? :)
ReplyDeleteNice!! Like the stools and the photo in the kitchen very much.
ReplyDeleteL O V E the artwork! Large photos make such a statment.
ReplyDeleteI love that couch in the first couple of pictures! Nice :)

wow...this is cool, unusual and bold.
ReplyDeletep.s.: there is a smaller Rothko exibition, no images from a hotel lobby, not many lights but the paintings themself are enough. Incredible vibrant colors!
Its such a great space and that dining table is amazing...I wish I could have something like that in my kitchen
ReplyDeleteMuah, my dear
I LOVE this house!!! The lighting, and the kitchen bar stools are fantastic! Can you say sex in bricks?

Hard-soft comes to mind. I love the pastel stripes that contrast against the concrete surrounds. The lighting is stunning and totally softens what could be a bunker-type aesthetic!
ReplyDeleteThey could have so taken the minimalist approach but great that they chose colour instead. There's the magic right there!
I especially love the chunky legs of the blue plastic stool and how well it goes with the artwork of the pink pigs.
ReplyDeleteCool place, like the walls, floors and ceilings. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like it and love the stools in the kitchen. G
ReplyDelete'Cool' must be the word for this place. I love the kitchen area!

Nice home with a lot of humor! Great blog by the way!
ReplyDeleteI definitely love this home, that cool and amazing concrete grey tone is soft and powerful at the same time. It has to belong to a creative professional, these rooms inspire the creative impulses for sure!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely collection of images. I love the color scheme. Am back to blogging after a brief break. Fashion week around the corner, and have so much to do. Thank you for your thoughtful comment on my blog dear.
ReplyDeleteI love the space, a LOT, but that doesn't look like concrete to me. Looks like venetian plaster, which would be much easier to install and maintain on all those surfaces.
ReplyDeleteLOVE these pictures! The concrete look is great!!
ReplyDeleteLove the couch and the rug...
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I love mens taste!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
